Curriculum Vitae: The Course of Life
Elephant Tango Ensemble was a collective of musicians, actors, puppeteers, designers, and dancers focused on creative excellence through making puppets, composing music, and preserving story-time.
Nominated for an Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) and was featured at the Mikhail Zakin Gallery in an exhibit of contemporary puppetry.
Elephant Tango was a formative experience for me. It started as a one-off performance of "How The Elephant Child Got Its Trunk" by Rudyard Kipling at the Cloud Club in Boston using shadow puppets I designed, and a score that I co-composed.
We had about eleven performers helping out with narration, music, and puppeteering for that first show. After that, we kept acquiring more and more incredible people, ideas, and opportunities.
That ensemble was a creative powerhouse, and I'm proud of the work we did during that time.
