Curriculum Vitae: The Course of Life
The Gottabees are “super fun theater for the whole family.” Featured in the New York Times, The Gottabees are an award-winning, internationally renowned troupe emphasizing puppetry, physical theater, and music. They’ve performed in 3 countries, 18 states and have reached over 38,000 people. Brendan serves as a co-composer, co-arranger, & performer and has recorded, mixed/mastered two albums: Squirrel Stole My Underpants & Lollipops For Breakfast.
One of the things that I love about our shows is that they force the imagination. Watching puppetry and engaging with a live performance requires more attention from viewers. They have to put the pieces together in their own mind. As performers, this allows us to connect with our audience and have an impact. The Gottabees have been able to do this around the world with families of all ages and cultures. It's amazing.
In the Spring of 2020, The Gottabees pivoted to remote performing with two shows geared for an "at-home" experience:
Try This At Home was a weekly video series from March 24 - May 9, 2020 that helped give an excuse for families to giggle, gasp, cheer and play together.
ScreenPLAY! is 30 minutes of non-stop interactive FUN via Zoom, where your whole family becomes part of the story.
Brendan co-composed and produced the music for both shows.
1994 - 1998
1998 - 2009
