Composer, Arranger, & Performer
Over three days in February 2012, Brendan invited six ensembles to the Somerville Theatre to record new original music together. Most groups were intentionally unrehearsed to help capture a fresh perspective. The recordings resulted in two albums, and the project was featured in the Boston Globe.
Brendan's Notes
The album TimeStamp is a snapshot of fifteen musicians exploring new music in a beautiful theatre. I asked my friends (who I had been playing and improvising with for years) to join me in this effort. Their connection, communication, and trust made this collaborative work remarkable and precious.
The album's purpose was to capture a glimpse of a moment in time, and I'm grateful we did it.
